Safeguard Reputation by Vigorously Combatting Infringement

Lukfook Group’s dedication to building the brand’s core competencies, protecting intellectual property rights, and safeguarding corporate rights and interests is vital to its market development over the years.

Since 2006, the Group has participated in the “No Fakes Pledge” Scheme launched by Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department. We have committed not to sell or deal in counterfeit or pirated goods and to sell only genuine goods. We post the “No Fakes” logo stickers on our shop windows so that tourists and consumers can easily identify reliable retailers and shops with confidence.

The Group has spared no effort in fighting against free-riding brands that have infringed our intellectual property rights and ruined our brand reputation. So far, we have taken legal action to successfully crackdown more than 870 counterfeit stores with infringing actions against “Lukfook Jewellery” brand. For some malicious infringements in the market, the Group has resolutely safeguarded rights and interests and has achieved great deterrent effects.

Besides, in order to maintain constant and early surveillance, the Group has also deployed a report-and-reward system for those who report any unauthorised operation of jewellery business in the name of “Lukfook” and its brands, possession or sales of counterfeit products of such brands or such trademarks that harm our brand.

 

Patent Registration for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

The Group has made “Lukfook” trademark registration in Hong Kong and Mainland China in 1993 and 1997 respectively, paving the way for our rapid expansion in the gold jewellery market in Mainland China. In 2012, “Lukfook” trademark was recognised as a “Well-known Trademark” in Mainland China by the State administrative authorities, affirming Lukfook’s brand awareness and market recognition. At present, the Group has registered more than 800
trademarks, such as “LukFook”, “LukFook Jewellery”, “Dear Q” and “Goldstyle”, and have applied for patents or copyrights for some products and display props.
